Mainboard-listed Aztech Group has posted a 65.2% fall in net profit after tax to $2.69 million for 1st half ending May 31 2010 (1H2010) compared to $7.73 million for 1H2009.
Group revenue was $96.99 million compared to $154.37 million for the same half of the previous year, a drop of 37.2%.
Aztech says despite an increase in revenue from Electronics business, the group saw a decline in overall turnover mainly attributable to the lower revenue recognition of just $2 million for its Materials Supply and Marine Logistics segments.
Electronics remained as the group’s main revenue generator. Half-year revenue from Electronics business increased by 1.7% to $92.85 million compared to the same period last year, due to the stronger sales in contract manufacturing as well as retail distribution.
However, the group is declaring an interim dividend of 0.3 cents — the 6th consecutive year of dividend payout.
