Changjiang Fertilizer Holdings, the coal-based fertiliser producer of nitrogenous fertiliser in Hunan province, China, says it posted a net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB25.2 million ($5.1 million) for the second quarter ended 30 June 2010 (2QFY10), up 10.9% from 2QFY09.

For 2QFY10, the group’s revenue increased by 56.8% to RMB114.5 million, mainly driven by the increase in sales for all three products (nitrogenous fertiliser, ammonia and methanol) and also the sales contribution of RMB22.6 million from a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Changjiang Huafei (Hunan) Co.
